Maenam of Samui

On every island around this globe you will find one specific part of it that has a charisma unlike any other. The amazing quality of the beaches on Koh Samui is that they are not only different, but that they attract, draw and appeal to distinctive people thus creating their own unique magnetism. The coastline along the northern line of Koh Samui is nothing like the southern coast. Here the solitude is almost deafening, and the views out across the Gulf of Thailand different with every setting of the sun.Resort beach in Maenam

A mere 22 kilometres away is Samui’s Speed boat to Koh Phangansister island of Koh Phangan. Boats of every type from long-tail to teak sailing vessels are ready for hire to whisk you away into the Asian winds for an adventure unlike any other you will ever have experienced.

The beaches are long and the swimming the best on the northern coast. One particular bay features the best swimming year round, even through the torrential monsoons that envelop the island in November.

I have not been able to find anything on the Internet in regards to the beaches except for villas and hotels for rent or sale. This island seems to be a tourist haven. How can it be quiet and undeveloped?

    • Yes you are correct about the Internet plugging sales, and this is a problem when trying to find out information about the beaches themselves. Look for our blog on Expats on Samui for some inside information from those who live here.
